I am new to sewing. I wanted a simple car with no frills. I also don't want a mini car that looks like a toy. This machine is portable yet sturdy. I like the city's purple line design. The machine came threaded and fully operational. Raising and closing the needle bar is very easy. There is a special tool to make a hole for a button which is great. There is a DC power adapter, I feel the length of the cord could be longer. There is a foot control to use or you can use the button to automatically sew the top and bottom. Love the 12 built in stitches and thread gauge. I sewed a mask and it was very easy to get started. It would be nice,
