Better than expected. I love my SS very much. I love the style and the fit. But I'm not keen on the gliding style. It seems strange to me so I carefully removed the stitching with a seam ripper and then laced it up. I left the elastic attached to the tongue of the boot to prevent the tongue from slipping back into the boot. If you feel your shoes slipping behind, just tighten the laces a little. This should help. I'm having the same issue with a pair of burgundy Converse sneakers that I bought in a different outfit. Hope that helps.
