I highly recommend these knives. I've never had a decent paring knife, mostly I've used our steak knives. Which actually didn't seem that terrible until I switched to them, and now using steak knives is like a clumsy saw in comparison. I reiterate what other reviewers have mentioned: if you're used to dull knives, be very careful as you could cut yourself with them the first few times you use them. Sounds like awkward adult-to-adult advice, but even after reading the reviews and trying to be careful, I still cut myself. My advice, just buy them! (And a box of patches 😁)
