Very comfortable size - excellent quality. I have a smaller stainless steel manual strainer that I've had for probably over 40 years. This has more capacity and a finer sieve. This is a good intermediate size between a small strainer and a large handle strainer. Wooden handle in stainless steel frame, comfortable to hold. There are two small "hooks" on the outer edge so you can clip it or place it on top of a pot or bowl so it can sit and drain liquids. I have found it very helpful in everything from rinsing fruits, vegetables and legumes to straining water out of cooked pasta.
