With the cold weather set in, I grabbed this buff (any color) as a featherweight neck warmer (or balaclava or whatever). It's so stretchy and has the ability to absorb sweat to protect your neck from the chilly wind. I can pull it over my head, ears, mouth and nose for extra protection from the cold wind while hiking. It weighs next to nothing and doesn't take up much space, so it's a welcome addition to my small backpack that I use on my hikes. I don't know what I've ever done without it! This is a permanent addition to my hiking gear.
