This fan was meant to replace an old fan and I'm very glad we went with it. First, I love the look of the nickel finish and backlight. But it features a quiet motor that emits just enough air to keep you comfortable. This fan is mounted right above our bed and I could never get the old fan to circulate without blowing too much air. Hunter designed it to actually have a viable fan speed. So if you need it to blow, it does that, but if you just want to gently circulate air, it does it well. We use LED lamps and have a lot of light. This fan has been running almost non-stop since we installed it. Very satisfied! In winter, the fan rotates to circulate heat.
