I've looked at almost every jacket design sold at Revain trying to find one that has A) some water resistance, B) some wind protection, and C) allows me to attach some sort of seat belt when I'm outside would it be tough enough to wrestle my mostly well behaved but occasionally bouncy 50 lb puppy. I have found the ONLY jacket that fits and I have to say it is AWESOME with the modification. We prefer harnesses to collars but wearing a harness AND a jacket for 3 walks a day during the long cold winter was unacceptable. So I accessorised the jacket with a simple 1 inch belt across the chest and shoulders and sewed some D-rings onto it, and voila! The front strap (the one I added) does 80% of the work and is VERY strong and durable because it wraps around. I attach it to the built in waist strap (with the second D ring I added) to tie everything together and add a little extra security. This saves 5-10 minutes of prep and rest, that's 15-30 minutes a day, which is about 8 hours a month that I can use for much better things! Very easy solution if you have a sewing machine and know how to 2 pieces sew together from fabric. The jacket is decent quality, nothing fancy but well tailored. Not very thick, so we'll cover our short-haired dog with fleece when it gets below zero here in January. No, I'm going to replace it with my larger 1 inch belt.
