These are fantastic lamps! I used them to light up my daughter's Barbie-sized Kidkraft dollhouse, putting one in each room and two in the larger downstairs room. Lighting: brightness and functions They provide a lot of light in every room and brighten rooms more than enough. The ability to adjust the color warmth is a nice feature, but I've found that once you've identified the correct color, there's no longer a need to change it (to warmer or colder) with the remote. However, it's incredibly nice to be able to increase or decrease the brightness of the light with the remote control. I was a bit disappointed with the remote's ability to fade, flash, or blink the lights as they appear to revert to the default color heat level and shift. away from what you have installed. Installation and dimensions The final size of the lights was perfect and exactly as described. They each have a wire for power, and then all but one had a wire coming out to connect to the next light. They were on opposite sides of the world, which in my case was a bit crude in the way they were mounted. I simply folded the cord on one side and attached it to the lamp and then applied glue to attach it to the dollhouse ceiling. I used strong velcro (not included in this case) to attach it to the ceiling, some of which have been rated at 5 pounds, and it didn't move at all - despite pretty little girls fiddling with it. The cords are very, very thin and easy to hide. Thermal output One last thing to note is the amount of heat this output is fairly low so it won't burn or heat your cabinets. However, it's warm enough to soften and loosen the tape, but it doesn't last long. My girls will not get burned or hurt touching these lanterns after they have been lit for hours. Conclusion: These are really great lamps. I will definitely buy this brand when I'm ready to add backlighting under my cabinets or on my bookshelves for accent lighting. Good product!
