. If you are planning to align your GMC/Chevy, there is NO better way. Forget that set of spacers (choose .

If you're planning on leveling your GMC/Chevy, this really is the best option. Assuming of course you won't spend over US$1,000 "Spent bucks on some Fox coilovers. Forget that shim set. Spacer sets actually have a terrible effect on the geometry of your IFS truck. These Bilsteins don't negatively change your truck's geometric angles. They don't restrict up or down below a move. You can actually increase the upstroke, take a look at my attached picture. Bilstein have a good plan on how they work on their website. Not only can/will they flatten your ride, they improve ride quality over rough terrain The front end feels more controlled, with less picking under braking and body roll My trucks have been driven a ton n, which is why I turn them over so often. For me this was an automatic update and the very first mod when I got my new GM truck. I've had every conceivable suspension package that GM offered (z71, NHT and z51?). These shocks are better than any other, especially the ranchos that come with the z71. I've experimented with all the settings on these dampers, I like the 3rd stage best which is also the second highest setting for them. With this setup they level the truck but still leave a slight bias for towing. They are also very well made. Very good welds, nice galvanizing. It is very likely that they will last longer than your standard devices. I've never had any problems with them. If you own anything other than a GMC Denali with magnetic ride controls and are planning to get that ridiculous "rake" out of your truck while improving the ride quality - I say buy them! I install them myself using a wall mounted spring compressor. If you don't have a wall-mounted compressor, I recommend having one professionally installed. The ones you can rent from an auto parts store are NOT safe. If you have a Toyota Tacoma or a mid-size truck, renting is fine. These new "1/2 ton" trucks (now closer to 1 ton than ever) have very strong springs. Once you have it, installing it is very simple. 2 hours maximum

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine
