This pedestal fan is really smart: once fully charged it can be used without a power cord and when using the app it has smarter settings. I love that I can set an on/off time and it can only run on cord or battery. He is very quiet. He's just new. It also has a separate smaller remote control. But with the help of the application you can manage many functions. For those unfamiliar with using a smartphone, it can take some time to get used to, so having a separate remote control is handy too. I wish it could be attached to a fan somewhere, it's so small it's easy to lose. It has more fan blades, but the blade size is smaller than our other regular desktop fans. But it works well and came just in time to increase our cooling needs during the ongoing heatwaves.
