I took this paddle to test on the Colorado River in Arizona and the only complaint I have is that you may need to bring a Phillips head screwdriver to open one of the sides of the blades do not hold loose where they are pinched. Otherwise, the thing is pretty decent. If you walk along the river often, this is a great purchase. You can't even lie on your back and row. I think one of the best things about this paddle is that even if you want to stand up, if you can keep your balance, you can crouch and still row like crazy.
