Great shoes but don't throw away the boots

First of all, let me say that I enjoy hiking in these ultra light shoes, even if they rub a bit on the ankle. I've found that thicker socks help reduce chafing a bit. Then I usually buy Nike shoes in size 10 because they are smaller than most brands and I need a wider toe box; However, I chose 9Β½ for them because I figured tighter is better for hiking, and I was right. You might want to go half a size up for comfort, or find that the tighter the more stable, you just have to make an educated guess I guess. footprint shoes; To be safe, I usually wear them on a descent or slightly less difficult hikes and wear my Keen Boots on more difficult trails and climbs, particularly for ankle support. I usually carry them in my backpack when I'm on a night hike and change them around camp and on the summit. I was particularly impressed with the aggressive traction of these boots; they're probably better than my boots in that regard. If you prefer ankle support and are looking for a versatile replacement for your traditional hiking shoes or sneakers, Nike makes mid-calf running shoes similar to these. what can you compare. However, if you are more of an avid hiker (hiker or someone who hikes more than 3 days a week) I don't know if I would have bought this or any other Nike shoe to wear solely for hiking.
