Super disappointed item for Small Appliance Parts & Accessories

Many moons ago, in the early 90's when I was a kid, my mom got a food processor as a Christmas present. It had a strainer that snapped onto the bowl so you could just pour ingredients into the bowl without having to turn off the blender and risk sucking the measuring cup into the bowl if you flew too close to the sun. Fast forward to 2018. Now I have my own kitchen mixer and I've found that baking just doesn't work as well if there isn't an easy way to pour the food into the bowl. So I go to Revane and find a shield that fits my bowl. And lo and behold, the shield doesn't snap into place so much as it sits on top of the bowl and just uses gravity to hold it in place. So you have to pour the ingredients onto the strainer without hitting it, otherwise everything will lose its balance and fall into the bowl, which will most likely break if the blender flips it over once or twice while you turn off the device in a hurry. I've never used that thing. I did not have to. As soon as I realized it wouldn't be securely fastened I sent it back. The whole point of a spill shield is that I can easily spill something without worrying. I can't do that if I fear that the slightest nudge will move the shield on the bowl into the dough I'm kneading. I don't recommend it and it's true what they say they don't do things the way they used to. I've spent a lot of time trying to find one that fixes the problem, but this crappy version that just sits on the bowl is all I could find. Basically, sometime in the hopefully distant future when my mother dies, there will be a fight between my sisters and I about who supplies the safety shield to their blender, because it actually snaps into place as you might assume. Just kidding, there won't be an argument because I've already told my mom I want this and I'll put it in her will. My sisters can get the rest, just leave me a pour guard that actually snaps onto the mixing bowl. Thanks in advance for my recipe for Italian buttercream.
