Review on πŸ’Ώ Inateck 3.5 Inch HDD Enclosure: High-Speed USB 3.0 Mesh Case with UASP Support - SA01003 by Madison Dickinson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to install drive, can't find the right case size

I really like this case. It took me a while to figure out how to close the case with the drive inside, but after that it was easy. My drive is tight and there is no play even though there are no screws. I like the mesh top because 3.5" hard drives get a bit warmer than 2.5" hard drives. Dimensions 8 inches by 6 inches by 1.5? inches, making it difficult to find the right tote bag. I didn't find anything at Revain. They are about 7.5 inches long and 5 to 6 inches wide inside. I receive a pack of 10 reusable static bubble bags. I take a few sheets of styrofoam or bubble wrap to wrap it around. Acoustic panels with an area of 1 sqm. Foot is fine too. I will tie long reusable ribbons around it to hold the sheet in place. I estimate this solution will cost $40-$50. If anyone has other ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Cons
  • Ugly packaging
