PS4 Review good for computers and accessories

If you are reading this as a PS4 owner you are facing the same problems as me with only 2 USB ports. I needed ports for my external hard drive, controllers/arms for charging, and a PSVR. I bought it and the product looks like the picture. It's very, very light and fits in the palm of your hand, so it's by no means bulky. Due to the lack of weight, however, it can be moved easily, which is not an obstacle for me. My first night of using the product was unsuccessful. My PS4 went to sleep and the device was connected to the 1st USB port. My controller wasn't charging and when I woke up the next day I thought it was defective. But what I didn't realize is that there seems to be a difference between the USB ports on the PS4. I plugged the device into the second USB port on my PS4 last night and woke up to find it was working fine as expected. I don't know why it turned off the device when I only ever used the 1st port with the rest of the charging cable, but it worked. So make sure you use the 2nd USB port for this hub. Now I use the 1st PS USB port for my hard drive. Another review said they had to turn PSVR on before PS4, but I literally just turned my headset on and was able to see my homepage when my PS4 was already on. However, if you run into an issue, I would suggest turning on your PSVR headset first. So for now I'm very happy with this device. My external hard drive connects directly to the PS4 which I prefer and the product hub is in port #2. I have my controller charging cable and two more paddle slots and finally the last slot has my VR connection. But as with any product from anywhere, you can be unlucky and end up with a defective one. But unless it's a manufacturing defect, it certainly works the way we PS4 users want it to. As for X Box or PC, I can't say anything, but I don't understand why it doesn't work differently than our brothers.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • very expensive
