Update from 01/10/21: Well, it only works for me for a few days, and the device started to tear more and more. Sometimes it stops playing entirely and I have to turn it off and on again. The device is obviously defective and I am sending it back for a refund. The search continues for a sub-$200 receiver that produces decent sound quality and actually works. REVIEW: For the price, this receiver gets the job done. However, the old Sherwood it replaced would shake the walls in my garage at 3/4 volume. I chose Pioneer based on their solid reputation and reviews here. The output sound is quite choppy and distorted, nowhere near as clean and powerful as my old Sherwood. It doesn't seem to pick up most of the deep bass, and those it does come out sharp. I've tried playing around with the 'Customize' settings but to no avail.
