The case is made of plastic and is very thin. Easy to install, but be sure you install it the correct facing way as there are tabs meant to click into the back and some on the front. I recommend cleaning the case inside and out with a slightly damp microfiber cloth and then letting it dry before installing. use the cloth to also install the case as the case will pick up finger prints. once installed, you can always clean the out side of the case using the same method as I mentioned above. This case is not meant for protection against drops, but more of keeping you mac itself from scratches.The keyboard cover does not and is not meant to stick to the keys, It is more of a rest on them, so if you are a fast or hard typist, then you may see it shift on you.
