Review on πŸ–οΈ STABILO Pen 68 Tin Set - 20 Vibrant Multicolor Pens for Exceptional Creativity by Jennifer Roberts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Goddesses, I love my Stabilos!

A few years ago I bought 20 Parade 68 sets - used them tirelessly and they keep going and going. Some ended up giving themselves to the end, so I can justify buying a larger set. I chose 30 instead of 40 or 50 because 50 has 6 neon and I don't use neon. Is always. There are some very dark colors in the Forty set that I find difficult to work with on felt and although this set of 30 contains 5 shades of grey-black I like it. In fact, these are the best pens. I have a huge set of Tombows and have found that everything I've done with them just disappears. Not so with these stabilos. No, this is not fine art, these are not archive pens like Faber-Castell or Coptics. But if you take your creative projects seriously, give them away to friends often, enjoy quality work and want relatively good color fastness, this is for you. The Stabilo's tip and flow allows you to "draw" and do highly detailed work as well as cover large areas with ease. The colors are rich, saturated, natural and easy to work with. A staple for many different types of projects and an absolute must if you love fun coloring and use different mediums for different effects. Wouldn't have been without them and I think this is the smartest purchase even if you're new to Stabilo - you'll want plenty of these once you start using them. The Parade 20 paint set comes in a cool and handy case if you're short on space. But if desired, they are perfectly transferred to a roll for storage, and then you can decorate the jar and make a diptych for yourself!

Pros
  • Water based ink
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
