I got this because my audio jack didn't recognize my microphone and the sore prevented me from using it. This is a great temporary solution to this problem until I can send my laptop in for repair! It's a simple little device that plugs directly into a USB port and you can plug in headphones or a headset. This not only allows the microphone on the headset to work, but also to sound. Sound clarity has improved. Definitely recommend! The only problem with this unit is that it arrived less than a day late lol! However, I am very impressed so far.
