Great for running large scale simulations and making them accessible

We are using it in our lab at UC Berkeley's CS Dept (http://cslab2) - its great because you can run models both offline or online as needed, which is very useful if resources aren't available all of the time! This makes model sharing much easier than with other toolsets like Modelio we've been working with previously; also allows us to do more testing without having tons of physical hardware around. I think that there could be some improvements here- maybe allowing users who have not yet received their license from Red Hat training/support access? Also perhaps an improved UI would help make this tool better known to those outside academia where people tend to get stuck behind paywalls when trying out new software products. Currently just getting started but so far really liking how easy it has made things by removing many manual steps involved before now. The ability to work collaboratively between different groups within my team was one big benefit gained early on since everyone.

Pros
  • Easy setup for running simulations locally vs remotely over ssh + web interface works well once set up correctly = super helpful!!
Cons
  • Some minor issues related specifically to remote simulation via SSH still occur occasionally
