Review on TapeCase Metalized Polyester Film Tape 1/4&#34 by Wagner Witlin

I LOVE THIS BAND! Looks like real gold! VERY sticky! Great offer.

This stuff is just great! It looks like real gold, so if you're using it on flat surfaces, it's actually better than gold leaf. It's very thin (to the point that it's slightly see-through on the underside, but not at all on the gold side, so keep that in mind when ordering). Pros: - 14k gold color --- Very sticky. When used properly, this material will remain permanently on a smooth or hard surface. I can't say yet whether this applies to outdoor things, but it's trumps for home textiles. Glue will mess up your cutting tool, so keep a bottle of acetone nearby to clean your blades regularly. Wide enough to be used for a variety of purposes. I used it to cover everything from a detailed silver cuff bracelet that I wanted to swap for a gold one, to an Altoid jar that I wanted to turn into a small, portable sewing kit. a blow dryer set to high heat and a blunt pencil. I did this to customize the details of the cuff bracelet and now it looks like a real gold bracelet. It takes some practice, but it's worth it! Cons: - Doesn't stretch much, so not suitable for covering parts with high detail. - Not suitable for moving. The adhesive is VERY sticky but the nature of mylar sometimes makes it difficult to place and once you lift it the mylar creases a bit and the adhesive doesn't really allow you to reattach it without bubbles unless You heat him up. first a strip of tape, then very slowly put it back and smooth it out with a credit card or similar tool. - Heat sensitive. There is a very fine line between heating the tape to the point where it can be manipulated along the curves and burning a hole in the tape. Unfortunately, it can't be transferred to a non-stick surface for carving tricky things. I wanted to use this material in my cricket to cut out detailed images for transfer to paper and glass, so I tried transferring it to baking paper to experiment with cutting with a scalpel blade, but the stickiness of the glue caused bubbles when You try to put it on. No matter what I did I couldn't get rid of them and they carried over into everything I tried to stick to the design. I'm still trying to find a cure for this and will update this review if I can figure something out.
