If your monitor has a recessed VESA mount, this mount will not fit. There are many Dell monitors and many others (e.g. the AOC in the photo) that use a VESA mount for the original stand. Unfortunately, flipping the sides doesn't help as both brackets stick out. I've never owned a monitor with a flush or raised VESA mount, but check your monitor before you buy! The kit includes hardware for installation in three ways: on a VIVO monitor mount stand, under a table, and on a VESA mount (behind the monitor). It should be noted that the screws for mounting under the table are not suitable for mounting on a chipboard table. It's probably meant for hardwood, and that's fine. This was just something I tried as the VESA mount didn't work for me.
