First off, I really dig the style of this wine rack; Usually you see racks that are made in the shape of boxes or made with a honeycomb sort of structure, but this one looks like something you'd see in a Hobbit's home in lord of the rings, or maybe the captain's cabin on a pirate ship, or in the basement of an old Italian bar or something. The combination of the dark wood and bright brass with the curved shapes just looks fantastic.Construction-wise, a wine rack doesn't have to be a particularly stout piece of furniture and this falls in line with that expectation, but it's built very solid, and I see nothing that gives me any pause about its longevity. It ships disassembled in a surprisingly small box, but assembly couldn't be any more simple and takes no more than 2 minutes: feed the threaded ends of each of the 4 posts through the 4 holes on one of the end pieces, and then install the brass hex-nuts upon the end of each, then repeat with the other end piece. They include a little metal throw-away wrench to facilitate the work, in case you don't have the right tools in your own collection.I'm really happy with it! Due to its build style it's not stackable or expandable with other units, so it's ideal either for a person who generally doesn't have more than a half-dozen bottles of wine at a time or as an accent piece for an individual who has a large collection, such as storing a few select bottles at your home bar.
