While I can understand that the longevity of the candle itself is down to the life of the battery or bulb, I'll say this much, they certainly hang well. I bought it to create a homely atmosphere for a Christmas Eve gathering and dinner. These candles ideally illuminate the room, shelves, holders and centerpieces. Not a single candle was DOA and for the price and value we were certainly satisfied. Just in case, I left a candle before it "burned out". The candles were activated around 4:00 p.m. on December 24, 2018 and for almost a month, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, they were never turned off, and one candle finally went out around January 22, 2019. I may have missed a day to check it out, but I can reasonably say it was "burned out" by that point. I used it in a plastic snowman figure that lit up every night and while we can agree it dimmed while driving, we were pleased to find that little nitwit still shimmered. Of course I put in another CR battery and everything was fine. I got my money's worth and had a funny little test along the way. Good product guys!
