I bought it primarily for the cutting mat. very big mistake. The cut surface has absolutely no sag (I've seen granite control blocks with more sag). Unlike clsims, this is NOT a self heal. Pressing the rotating cutter hard enough to cut through the material will leave a permanent scar on the surface of the mat. Site looks ok (only used once). However, it is too thin to fix it. In the background I had to make my own and probably will. Then I can put a new rug on top of that one and throw it away at the flea market.
