This is my first Himalayan salt lamp. I've been using it at night for 3 weeks. I wanted the light to be maximum brightness so it would be most effective as the space is a bit large for the size of the lamp. At first I didn't sleep well because of the light. But I noticed that I had less congested sinuses in the mornings. I took a piece of black felt and laid it sideways on the side of the lamp I was facing. Even though there's still some glow behind my little line-of-sight barrier, the light doesn't disturb my sleep; and I keep waking up with no traffic jam. During this time I contacted WhiteSwade and they responded to my questions promptly and provided excellent customer service. I am happy with this lamp and WhiteSwade.
