Very pleased with this purchase, will recommend it to everyone!

In my search for a whole set of this model, I stumbled onto the best available configuration: a 5900HS 3060 with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Before you ask, yes, the fans are loud and yes, it looks to you, oh my God, how it heats up, it shouldn't be like that!, the laptop does not throttle and gives out the advertised power if you use it in maximum performance mode. Surprisingly, though, the temps never go above 90 degrees, unlike the experience I had on Intel in a few games, when the processor happily let itself get to almost 100 degrees. It's preferable since things could be worse in setups where there is no liquid metal or a lower-quality chip. There is a guide on w3bsit3-dns.com for disabling turbo boost for Ryzen, and once you do that, your laptop will be almost completely silent while in browser, movie, music, or YouTube mode. This is because the processor will stick to its base frequencies instead of suddenly increasing them, as it does when turbo boost is enabled. Even with a base frequency of 3.2, 8 cores and 16 threads will be sufficient for gaming, resulting in a 20-degree temperature drop. This is due to a general decrease in frames per second (FPS) across the board. Almost immediately after the purchase, the MediaTek Wi-Fi module was swapped out for a new one; apparently, the source of the issue is the module's location under the SSD, which causes it to overheat and begin behaving erratically; this could be true, of course; however, this is also a gaming beech, and I would prefer not to experience connection drops due to the adapter. I've been using an Intel AX200, but the AX210 comes highly recommended. This laptop produces an adequate amount of noise without becoming distracting. Some computers use turbines to produce a whistling sound, much like a beep. If you play games on this laptop without headphones, you might be able to hear the airflow from the turbine, but it won't be distracting. I am ecstatically happy with this gadget. I made the switch from a MacBook Air M1 and I'm glad I did. The 2k display is fantastic, as is the 120 Hz gun, and the autonomy is also above average. Asus, you've earned the best of luck.

Pros
  • Modern, rigourous style Streamlined construction using premium materials Effective machinery (5900HS 3060 32GB 1.0 TB). display quality adequate (2k 120hz) Computer components manufactured by ASUS There are two power sources available. Packaged with a handy laptop case. In a small, liquid-metal casing, the cooling is effective and barely audible. Not having a webcam is a plus for me. Surprisingly (to me, at least), I was able to get Windows to report 8+ hours of battery life on the laptop when the parameters were optimized. Obviously, this is a major benefit.
Cons
  • MediaTek WLAN Adapter Uneven keyboard illumination The laptop gets rather warm while operating at peak performance, yet it manages to do so while maintaining the advertised level of speed. There may be complications with other ASUS applications.
