It worked for the first few days but we noticed 2 times that it wouldn't charge and wouldn't stop. Then after a few days it rained for a few days and water got between the adapter and the Tesla connector and the device stopped working even after drying out. There is no seal on this side of the Tesla connector, it has a seal on the J1772 side, but it is needed on the other end as well. There's also no way to attach the adapter to either the car or the Tesla plug, so anyone can unplug it and walk away with your $160 adapter. Another security issue is that you can disconnect the Tesla connector from the adapter while charging and charging will not automatically stop as it does when you press the locking lever on the J1772. This can cause sparking and burning of the pins on both the adapter and the Tesla connector. This adapter needs editing. The size is great as it fits in the glove box and feels sturdy.
