I bought two in case I need one in the future. Well the first camera I installed in our CCTV system for DVR surveillance lasted a good two years. For the past few days, I've noticed that the security camera monitor loses signal about every two minutes. Connecting the DVR directly to the monitor showed no signal loss. Browsing the web showed no signal loss. The suspect is a splinter. I opened the box of the second splitter I bought and immediately plugged it in and faced the same problem. What the hell! it was never used. I know both are out of warranty, but I was hoping to use a backup splitter. It obviously deteriorated while in the box or was defective from the start. Who knows? Nevertheless I am on the search for a new splitter. Update: the company's customer service was kind enough to send us another one after we sent them the faulty one. I have to commend them for their professional service.
