I got this about half an hour ago and immediately jumped into Blade and Sorcery with Virtual Desktop to try them out. They sat oddly on my ears at first, just inches below their standard position, and sounded a bit off. So I took them off and found that they can move up and down (it takes a little force and I was a little worried about breaking them at first) so they now sit almost right on top of my ears where they should. Each earbud also clicks slightly left and right to allow for further precise positioning, which is nice. The sound in the headphones seems to be good. The bass is perhaps over-pronounced, which should make a slight chest thump sound like a disconcertingly loud smack, but that may have always been the case and is only amplified by the improved volume of my new headphones, so I've never noticed this before times in the quality of the built-in Quest headphones. Time will tell I guess. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Overall they are great and I will never take them off. To be fair, the Quest should come with headphones as part of the package, just like the original Rift, so this solves that problem. They may be a bit more expensive, but the improved sound and comfort make it worth it. I'm glad I got a gift certificate for Christmas as I've been keeping an eye on them for a long time. Excellent purchase.
