This is a good, accurate digital scale. It gives a stable reading down to 0.1 pounds and is within half a pound of other digital scales I have, so I find it accurate. I use it to weigh myself every morning as soon as I get up and it gives me a good sense of how my weight is changing over time. This fully meets my needs. You press it to turn it on and let it calibrate itself. Then stand on it for a few seconds, evenly distributing your weight until it reaches a constant value. If you want, you can also track your weight on the Sinohealth app, which calculates a variety of other metrics based on your gender, height, and age. I've only tried it to see how it works (which it did) but I'm not getting much from it - I just want to casually monitor my weight without getting upset about it. I don't really need an app for this, but it has lots of information and some advice and warning if your numbers are exaggerated so others might like it - but it's not my cup of tea. OTHER POSSIBLY:* Connects to an app on your phone to track your weight and calculate other metrics like BMI (based on gender, height and age). WHAT I DID NOT :* The directions weren't good for finding the app ( I'm just guessing and searching the sinohealth app store) * Pairing the app to the scale via Bluetooth was a little tedious - it took me a while to find it found if you are interested)
