I bought two of these to use in our newly acquired home. As my husband said, it's not about a water outage under the sink, it's about when it happens. I bought one of these to put under the most labor intensive sink in the house, the kitchen sink. It fits perfectly and I'm sure it will protect my closet from water damage. Or at least most water accidents. After all, it has a water capacity limit! I bought another one to put under the sink in the laundry room, mainly because of the cleaning supplies stored there. We don't always perfectly wipe drips after using a bottle and I think the silicone material will protect my closet well. The tray is easy to remove and clean. I am very happy with my purchases and looking forward to a functional shelter under these two sinks!
