I already own a manual non digital miter saw protractor and was fed up with it’s complete inaccuracy in the readout. Big thick white painted lines that go in ten degree increments with small hash marks supposedly representing minute degrees. It’s impossible to read; "Is that 31 degrees? Or maybe 33 degrees?” Who knows, it’s awful. This digital tool is so much better in every way except the build material. This is entirely made of plastic whereas my old one is all metal which is much nicer. Being able to read out the digital degrees down to a decimal point is invaluable when cutting angles on the miter saw. I have a digital magnetic angle finder that I clip to the saw blade and with this digital protractor I can match the angles exactly. It’s great.Other than the fact it’s made of plastic, this is a superior product to the clunky inaccurate ones available out there. Very much recommended to you!
