To be honest buying an OEM controller seems unnecessary when you can get this controller at a good price. If the controller is only needed for daily activities then I would recommend it. But there's a catch: this controller will NOT work for you if you want to connect a pair of Samsung wireless speakers, as it can't set the soundbar to "ID". SET" (special function to connect these two devices). And it should be in the product description but it isn't. Also check your warranty as Samsung will send you a controller if the warranty is not expired.
