I am renting out an apartment where the HOA doesn't work very hard to keep the area clean and tidy. The stairway to my front door (which is rarely used due to the layout of the building) looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year or more. There was crusted earth, wilted flowers and other accumulated garbage. According to the instructions, I first washed the tiles with water. Then I turned the nozzle to clear. I scrubbed some particularly stubborn stains with a brush specially designed for this purpose. But I didn't try very hard. I let the cleaner sit for 10 minutes and then washed it off. Dirt and debris rolled off. It took quite a bit of rinsing to get all the dirt out. The day was humid so the stairs dried up in a few hours. But when dry, they looked surprisingly good. Some of the more complex unknowns have not gone away entirely. But like I said, I didn't put much effort into cleaning it. Overall, the stairs look pretty clean and the product is easy to use. The water/purifier flows into an area where there are several tropical plants. They were completely unaffected. I did not notice any strong odor when using the cleaner. My only complaint is that turning the collar from off to rinse and clean and back again was quite difficult with wet hands.
