Review on 🌳 Efficient Drip-less Wood Glue Dispenser, 16 Oz Bottle by Steven Adams

Great concept but there are some problems.

I really wanted to like this bottle of glue and I'm making it in concept but it has some problems. The first problem affects me as much as Glu-Bot, but it makes Glu-Bot difficult to use. After a life of farming and over 30 years of construction, my hands can no longer squeeze this bottle. The deeper the glue goes, the harder it is to compress, which brings us to the next problem. To make it easier to squeeze, you need to let in air. This is accomplished by slightly unscrewing the large cap. I have found that the cap is glued with dry and semi-dry glue just like any other bottle of glue. The third problem is the advice to "stay clean”. Having enough suck back in the bottle will keep the tip clean BUT it will also make it harder to squeeze out the glue. So blowing air into the bottle regularly, which makes it easier to squeeze, also causes the tip to be as dirty as any other glue bottle. I really like the very wide base and the fact that you don't have to fill the bottle completely when gluing a vertical surface, but these advantages are not enough for me to overcome the disadvantages. I'm sure people with younger and stronger hands will have a different experience. I've used this bottle in a few kitchen cupboards to give it a good shake, but it hasn't left the shelves in over 6 months.

Pros
  • Great overall finish
Cons
  • Modern
