Although I've long been a skincare fanatic, foot creams usually cause me problems, frustration and a waste of money. It becomes more of a problem as I get older as my heels become drier, thicker and cracked. At one point it got so bad that I was too embarrassed to get a pedicure, let alone let my feet see the light of day or night. Thanks to new products and innovations, I have managed to tame the severity of my problem in recent years. A semi-satisfactory result that doesn't last very long still requires a lot of effort, and foot creams have never played a role in solving the problem. I've tried several creams including this brand's original formula and only one really helped. , but it wasn't what I would call self-treatment. However, this night cream gave me instant results within 24 hours and I continue to see improvements using it morning and night and with nothing more than a pair of 'running socks' (recommended instead of moisturizers). Keep in mind that "instant" results will likely depend on how bad your feet are, how thick the callus is, and what's causing the problem. Wear running socks not only for bacteria and healing, but also for extra hydration. I like running socks as they protect and support the heel better and I think they retain moisture better than the nasty gel socks or regular socks as they are more compressible. At the very least, they keep mucus off the ground until it's absorbed, keep wounds clean, improve circulation, and prevent the heel from spreading due to pressure during healing, the main cause of cracks. The first day when I woke up and checked I was relieved, happy and amazed at how soft my feet felt and looked. and almost effortless, lol. I ended up having to exfoliate, just less, and I think this combined with an AHA exfoliation treatment will help with that, which is great as the added trauma and friction can exacerbate corneal issues. I can stop using it for maintenance a few times a week and will continue to use my lighter product (like Heel Chemistry) to repair the skin barrier or just use it at night. So far I only apply it after showering and before bed. I really think you really want to make sure that super thick heels and calluses are removed as much as possible for faster results. I prefer callus removers like Prolinc after a good bath and good foot tools. In the worst case, peeling of socks, which, however, does not happen very quickly. However, my heels were moderately thick and very cracked from our dry winter, and that still went well if I buffed/exfoliated my feet a few times a week. In fact, I noticed that the remaining calluses became smoother and easier to remove the next day after using this cream.
