It's made of PLASTIC coated with metallic silver. NOT AS IT LOOKS, and not a solid wine opener, much to our chagrin. the picture and the lack of a written detailed description confirms this (which I should have looked at but assumed it would be the same as our other Houdini). It's "ok so far", but PLASTIC. POOH.
