I've gotten you making every corkscrew for 20 years. This thing was thin and typical looking. Houdini openers have always been better quality. But this thing was really simple. Just not right. BUT

Once you go to Houdini you will never use another wine opener again. I've had my first since 2010 and now it's 2020 and mine has finally started pooping. I can open a bottle of wine in 4 seconds with little effort, and I can do it with my eyes closed thanks to Houdini.

I bought this to replace what I've had for the last ten years. The replacement arrived broken. I was so disappointed! The one I already had still worked, but something happened to the handle material and it became sticky no matter what I tried to wash it with. I never returned the broken one so I don't know if the seller would have replaced it or not.

It's made of PLASTIC coated with metallic silver. NOT AS IT LOOKS, and not a solid wine opener, much to our chagrin. the picture and the lack of a written detailed description confirms this (which I should have looked at but assumed it would be the same as our other Houdini). It's "ok so far", but PLASTIC. POOH.

Houdini actually does what it says on the tin. It's a bit difficult for someone like Queen Elizabeth I who has the body of a weak and frail woman, but I can do it, I can do it. Works better with real corks than plastic corks, but even those come out eventually. This bottle opener was great, it was painless to open a bottle with a real cork. I ordered it at the end of August 2013. Today, mid-October, I tried to open a bottle of wine and it just broke! I'm not even sure what happened.
