These were exactly as pictured and you can't beat the quality at this price. I wear a woman's size 10 and they were snug. Larger than that, they wouldn't work. Also, the tops are short; they only go 2" above my ankle. The real drawback for me (not perhaps for you) is that 35% wool doesn't feel or behave like a real wool sock. I noticed the difference when putting them on, but that was OK. It was in wearing that things became obvious. My feet got damp and, thus, they soon became cold. That NEVER happens with 90-100% wool. You can wear wool socks three days in a row without dampness or stink. Great to have if you're camping or hiking. I wouldn't wear these a second day, or even the second half of the first day. If you normally wear cotton socks, though, and love them, these will work for you. And the price is outstanding, comfort is very good.
