Review on GMS Optical® Silicone Symmetrical Eyeglass Vision Care by Trisha Hunter

First things first I bought the 13mm and 11mm screw top versions to fix the broken nose of a regular pair of glasses (Bongo). 11mm fits like a champ. 13mm is fine too, although there's a bit more room. 11mm saved, 13mm returned. Most importantly, they DO NOT come with screws. If you don't have the originals, this is another essential purchase. Before installation, be sure to clean the body of the glasses from silicone parts that do not fit and / or remove the silicone hole (due to imperfect fit). The residues and metal shavings of the predecessors can be easily removed with a tiny slotted screwdriver. To clarify: these silicone parts are (as expected) pressure sensitive; If you screw in a screw (used to attach to glasses) without perfect alignment, the silicone tip will become unusable by stretching the hole. I learned this the hard way; Luckily there are four in the package. Once out of the way, they line up like a champion. These noses are more comfortable and have slightly more recoil than the factory fitted ones. So don't be alarmed if they seem to move a little after installation. It is in order. As is the convenience of silicone over hard plastic. All in all a great price and a quick fix to a common problem.
