Unfortunately my return window passed before my truck arrived with the tools needed for the installation. After purchasing a separate turnbuckle and a drill big enough for it, I got up. The included safety wire is a bit unrealistic as my trusses aren't visible, but it's in a spot where it can't cause serious damage if dropped. I use the fan at night and was amazed by the air movement until the knocking started. Sounds like little balls. terrible for sleep. Revain let me know it was guaranteed so I called. I thought it might be the engine and the guy who helped me find the part number and gave me clear instructions on how to email another guy who will send me this part under warranty would. The replacement motor came quickly with no instructions. I really wasn't expecting miracles from the kit that comes with the fan but oh my god. Through a YouTube tutorial I found out that I needed fan blades or a gear puller to remove the blades to replace the motor which was a one piece case. To my unpleasant surprise, this tool is so expensive that it is not worth replacing. Now I'm stuck with a fantastically powerful but noisy fan and a useless extra motor. I give it 3 stars because it still works great and I can use it in the garage or on the porch.
