High-Performance Air King 9312 Multi-Mount Wall Fan for Efficient Airflow in Black Powder-Coated Steel Design Review

This robust industrial fan is a great investment. We bought four of these for my work place. They worked non-stop 12 hours a day, seven days a week last summer and this summer and never had a single problem. This fan can be installed or fixed on the floor. These three power levels are useful because you can use the fan in a variety of settings. If you are looking for a robust industrial fan, this is the one for you. I am completely satisfied with this purchase.

This fan cannot be installed by one person without a detachable bracket. Not only can you not use a screwdriver, but you need cap screws that can only be used for ratchet tightening. Also be careful as there is only one hole in the bracket at the back corner, there are no holes. for corner mounting. Make sure you can drill through the metal to fit the corner. I haven't turned it on yet, it was such a pain to install and I haven't gotten that far yet!

A fan would be a great fan but for some reason one of the blades is heavier than the other two causing it to vibrate a lot. I even manually lifted a heavy fan blade when the fan wasn't running and the weight would make it spin and land on the ground every time. If I had kept the box I would have sent the fan back. This monster fan in a small package is a commercial quality fan, not the cheap ones you find in big department stores . The cable is very thick, the strength is not inferior to the fan. I bought it specifically to blow air on my face during a long run and it does the job perfectly. It has a standard three speed chain switch like a ceiling fan. Installed on the porch with a screen for ventilation in the hot southeast summer. Installation was very easy, I used a 1 1/2" screw and washer (not included), drilled a hole and screwed it in. The whole thing took 5 minutes. Unfortunately my return window passed before my truck arrived with the tools needed for the installation. After purchasing a separate turnbuckle and a drill big enough for it, I got up. The included safety wire is a bit unrealistic as my trusses aren't visible, but it's in a spot where it can't cause serious damage if dropped. Poor customer service. Good air movement but poor design. I bought this product for my restaurant but the plastic rear engine cover broke after a few weeks. The engine cover broke off because it contained a drive switch. Most fans have the pull switch mounted directly to something more durable like the frame or motor. But this fan had a pull switch attached to the rear plastic cover of the motor. Therefore, under normal use, turning the switch on/off would cause the plastic to fatigue and…

Air King is an industrial product and you often see them in places like warehouses, trailer doors. They have a reputation for quality and I have seen 40 year old units still bleeding air. The fans hold up as a result of true craftsmanship, although it says Made in America I cannot vouch for the provenance of the details. I installed this height on the wall in my 2 year old's room for white noise/airflow and couldn't be happier. I know a lot of reviewers talked about it being very noisy or being used for stables or whatever so I was really nervous about just buying it for a kid's room. but i decided to give it a try anyway because in the 2 years of its life 3 floor fans broke, either because a kid knocked them over (wow!), or just broke because they are rubbish. and we have no place to put a fan and I don't care
