This product has a few annoyances: no Thunderbolt 3, limited screen real estate combined with large bezels, and the biggest complaint is the short battery life compared to competitors (Hp, Dell, and Lenovo). Now if you use the Sp7 indoors with around 50% brightness, you can get at least 7.5 to 8 hours of battery life, which is average but not great, but if you're using it outdoors or in a bright place, you'll need the Increase brightness that will kill the battery in about 4.5-5 hours. I found myself reaching for my charger 2-3 times a day. Otherwise the product is great (so far). If you're a student or frequently view PDF and text documents, the form factor is ideal. Sp7 is also part of the Intel Athena project, so you can quickly and easily sign up and start working within a day. It's a good product overall, but if you don't use it regularly as a tablet, you might want to look into another laptop. I will update this review if I find more issues. hp If you are an artist or some kind of digital illustrator, get an iPad Pro instead of this product. There are several online reviews complaining about the inaccuracy of the surface pen lines.
