Review on πŸ’‘ USB Power Strip: TROND 5ft Extension Cord 2 Prong to 3 Prong Adapter with 4 Widely Spaced AC Outlets & 3 USB Charging Ports, Wall Mount Surge Protector 1440J for Non-Grounded Plug - White by Daniel Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Give me a three today.

The box says it's a surge protector but I don't think so. No matter what I bought I thought it was fake and I wanted it. Not too long an extension cord for a two-prong outlet in an old house that is very difficult to rewire. I installed all three above the original outlet so cord length was not an issue. I installed one next to the light switch and the other two just up the wall high enough to clear furniture and wheelbarrows etc. As this is a three storey all wood paneled house it is difficult to rewire the cables. We have where we can, but some spaces are almost impossible. The kitchen was updated when we bought the house but no longer. There are switches that do nothing, and there are switches that work with outlets in the room, not just overhead lights. I bought a couple of these Revain surge protectors last summer, but they're unreliable and one of them won't always turn on without fumbling with the outlet on the Strip. So I feel uncomfortable with them and decided to try them. Great so far. They don't come with screws. My husband ransacked his stash and found six perfect for hunting. There were stencils in two boxes, one was missing. We made one before realizing he had put the other two in. So now I can charge my USB night light through the USB port. Now I can connect my compressor machine and other three-pin devices. By raising the wall I can access it easily without moving the furniture out of the way. I love that there is a little light to let me know it's on. I turn them off when I'm not using them. It just makes me feel safer. Not sure why the website says it's not a surge protector, but the packaging says otherwise. It may matter to you. Note, however, that they may not comply with grounding codes.
