I received this primarily to have video confirmation that my packages had been delivered. I also needed a doorbell and my house has no doorbell wiring. Pros: - I love this style of doorbell camera with the battery and memory card on the inside of the door. 90% or more of the other offerings are mounted outdoors only, meaning thieves can just pry the device off the wall and then have your video proof. - The build quality is really good - Doorbell function - It deters package thieves - The picture quality is good both in the app and on the built-in screen. The night vision quality is good. The app and motion notifications work pretty well once you figure out the setup process. Recording. For the main purpose I bought it for, to record my package deliveries, delivery people are already coming and going when the recording starts. Sometimes I see a van when it's in the picture. So for that purpose I'd give it 1.5 stars, but I'm actually giving it 3 here as it has a sustained absorbency. On waiting days for delivery, I can simply switch the camera to continuous recording. However, this is not ideal. Video exposure control needs improvement. During the day the camera exposure controls the background as it should, but when people come to my door it doesn't adjust the exposure, making them look like almost black silhouettes. So it's definitely not the best "security camera".
