The product was very well packaged and not all tools were included. not sure what they were all for. seemed to be a standard phrase that might be included in other products. No instructions were provided other than a suggestion on the product page to search YouTube for instructions. The necessary additional item/tool was a heat gun or hair dryer, which I used. This is necessary to soften the glue and remove the old digitizer. I had an issue where I couldn't swipe to unlock the tablet after turning it on. I plugged in the old broken one and it worked, then plugged in the new one and it worked fine until the lock screen unlocked. switched between old and new digitizer several times with the same problem. Finally I did a factory reset and now everything is working fine. I don't quite understand what could be causing this problem. After everything was done, the tablet started working properly again. I would not recommend this to anyone unfamiliar with delicate electronics and LCD screens.
