Review on πŸ”Œ Customized Non-Standard Motherboard Mainboard V4.2.7 (V4.2.2) by George Kapoor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The firmware is not the newest.

As has been said by some others, it does NOT come with the latest firmware which means you will either live with outdated firmware or update it yourself which defeats the "preinstalled firmware" of the OS. Yes it works. yes, shut up Now I only listen to fans. But if you are buying this from Revain rather than buying directly from the manufacturer I would go with the manufacturer's fan. I installed it which took a while and then I realized the firmware isn't the latest and now I have a choice based on the firmware. Either update the firmware or remove it and send it back and buy it from the manufacturer. I think I will update the firmware. Which is annoying because I paid for something, and while it technically comes with firmware preinstalled, if you're installing the firmware to sell a product, why not install at least relatively recent firmware? This is lazy and misleading. And since it's a real Creality motherboard, it's a good match for the Ender 3 Pro. As for the motherboard, it's great and well worth the money. My opinion, A+A to the seller and the sale of stuff with outdated firmware. In my opinion, D-IF you can handle the firmware upgrade, it's a great buy. If not I would contact Creality and get a pre-installed motherboard from them.

Pros
  • Ender-3 Pro firmware is preinstalled on this silent motherboard. If you want to install it on your Ender 3/Ender 3 v2/Ender-5, you need to flash the Ender 3/Ender 3 v2/Ender-5 firmware.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
