I would only recommend this product if you have a small cell phone AND there are no buttons next to the CD player. When inserted, it keeps pressing one of the buttons just below the CD player, which interferes with the music controls. Second, the mount keeps slipping out of the CD player and I have to put it back in several times while driving. To be specific, I have a 2012 Mazda 3 and my phone is an LG Stylo 5+ with Otterbox. , so of course it's heavier and bulkier than most phones. Hence the 3 star rating instead of 1 or 2. So only take this if your phone is small and there are no buttons directly under the CD player. EDIT: I've since changed the rating from 3 stars to 1 star. The part of the handle that creates friction and prevents it from falling out of the CD player has melted and stuck to the inside of the CD player. If you're concerned that your CD player may be damaged, look elsewhere. I am returning this item and using something else.
