This should be useful to many! First, without modification, it didn't work for my 2002 Lexus LS430. The end result was great. So here's what I had to do: Look at my photo of the key. The key didn't fit in the small black plastic piece. He entered, but not fully. It turns out that the width of the key expands at the base. Mine wouldn't fit without modification. I used the Drexel tool to reduce the width to fit the rest of the key. It then fitted perfectly. If you have this problem, this is the solution. If you don't have the skill or tools, send it back.
